Mountain biking Bangkok? Yes, really! A hidden gem for keen cyclists in Bangkok is the ATV & MTB Club 11 located on Phahonyothin road in Northern Bangkok, set within the army club opposite Phahonyothin 49 and 51. This 4+km track may be short but it makes up for the lack of distance with a fun and challenging single track that combines berms, jumps, steep assents and descents, sand traps, rock gardens, ponds and various other obstacles.

The trail starts from the car park/reception area and heads past the BB gun area and into the woods. There are markers every 100m to keep you on the right trail. The mountain biking trail in Bangkok was recently extended to over 4km with even more trails to explore, making this cycling trail a welcome break from the traffic jams around the capitol and for anyone not a fan of exercising in over-priced gyms, this is the perfect place to visit and do a few laps.

You can join Club 11 for 300 THB per year and then pay 50 THB per visit, alternatively the price is 100 THB for non members. At certain times of the day it is quite easy to have the place to yourself and so this makes for a great place to play around on your bike without having to leave the city. Next to the car park is a restaurant, and there are also showers and a bike cleaning area.
