Khao Yai Thien, situated close to Namtakhong resevoir in Nakhon Ratchasima province was home of the Thailand Enduro Series Round 4 in 2017. Khao Yai Thien is just 3 hours from Bangkok, easily reached via Highway 1 North East to Saraburi and Highway 2 which heads to Nakhon Ratchasima city. As you drive past the town of Pak Chong Namtakhong will be on the left side so from here you have to look out carefully for the small road which turns off on the right heading up the mountain where the trails are located. There are numerous popular resorts making it an ideal place to stay a night or 2.

Special Stage 1 is perhaps the easiest of the 5 stages of the Thailand Enduro Series with a very gradual downhill and no technical sections. It is fast and flowy though as you twist and turn your way through the forest to get to the bottom.
