Relaxing Sunday Morning Flowboarding in Bangkok
There has always been a lot to do in Bangkok but sometimes when the shopping, temples, markets and various other attractions get a bit much it can seem that there is nothing left to do. Recently however there has been a growing number of attractions for sports enthusiasts offering something a little different for both visitors to Bangkok as well as locals and expats. Biking enthusiasts can check out Club 11 if they want to do a bit of off road, this is one of my favourite weekend hangouts when I am in Bangkok as I live just a few km away. Wakeboarding enthusiasts are spoilt for choice with Thai Wake Park in the North of Bangkok and Taco Lake near Suvarnabhumi airport. Even more recently a rock climbing gym opened in Bangna called Rock Domain Gym giving even more things to do in Bangkok.
Last Sunday I was at a loss to what to do and being an early bird by 7am I was bored and getting restless when I remembered Flow House Bangkok opens its doors at 7.30am with the first session at 8am so I make the trip from Ladprao to Sukhumvit 26 in record time thanks to the early hour and by 8am I was ready to flowboard! This was my second time flowboarding in Bangkok, the first time was easy enough to stand up and do a few turns but little else, this time I felt that thanks to the great staff I was learning more and more each ride. Being so early there were only a handful of people there and with the sun rising over the skyscrapers in the background it was a joy to be there for the morning. The best thing of course is that by the time I finished I had already had my adrenaline fix for the day, and the day was just getting started!
