Chiang Mai Tour
If you’re looking to challenge yourself on your road bike, this tour was designed for you! This tour is intended for experienced cyclists who have trained in the high mountains. This Chiang Mai tour will take you to the highest point in Thailand with climbs up to 20% grades, passing through Pai and Mae Hong Son, which are located in the highest mountains on the Burmese border. You’ll experience beautiful natural panoramic views and landscapes, mountain peaks, winding roads and the luxury of almost no traffic.

Program:
Day 1: Chiang Mai (D) You will be welcomed to the hotel in Chiang Mai for a first meeting. You will be welcomed with a cocktail, followed by a briefing when the conduct of the tour. Kirch Cycling Tours jersey will be given and the day will end with a dinner where everyone will learn more about themselves.
Day 2: Chiang Mai (mountain) (B, L, D) A short ride with a 15 km uphill and a visit to a temple, in the evening we will visit the city and the night market.
Day 3: Chiang Mai = > Mae Rim (mountain) (B, L, D) We leave Chiang- May, the road begins to climb after 20 km, driving on winding roads through the rainforest, rice fields and small villages to a height of 1400 m . Our hotel is located in Mae Rim.
Day 4: Mae Rim = > Pai (mountain) (B, L, D) The first 40 km are flat, you ride through rice fields before attacking the first pass of 3 of the day, this is the first part of the famous 1660 Serpentine (Chiang Mai = > Mae Hong Son) we leads to the mountain village of Pai .
Day 5: Pai (rest day) (B) Day of rest, visiting Pai such as hot spring water, a famous bridge of the second world war, buddha , waterfalls …
Day 6: Pai = > Mae Hong Son (mountain) (B, L, D) One of the toughest stages of this tour, the hills will succeed one after the other, from the beginning to the end. Graphically it looks not too hard, but this route has walls up to 20%. It begins with 10 km of flat before the first 14 km up hill start follow by a 20 km descent to embark on a series of seven unforgettable hills.
Day 7: Mae Hong Son = > Khun Yuam (hilly) (B, L, D) The easiest day with some small hills.
Day 8: Khun Yuam = > Mae Chaem (mountain) (B , L, D) The most difficult day from this tours a vertical drop of 3500 m in 98 km. With climbs more than a 25%. Not very long climbs, but a succession of never ending hills.
9th day: Mae Chaem – Doi Inthanon – Chiang Mai (mountain) (B, L) The last stage takes us on the Doi Inthanon, the highest point in Thailand, a rise of 47 km to reach the 2350m, max 24 % percentage. Recovery on the top and then launches into the descent, flat to Chiang May
Day 10: Chiang Mai (B) Transfer to the airport.
