Windsurfing in Thailand

During the last 10 years Windsurfing has been made more and more easy to teach and to learn. That is why the number of new people being attracted to the sport is growing wherever there is wind and water and this is particulary true of windsurfing in Thailand.

Windsurfing is easy and its fun, a sail, a board, a mast and a boom. Then you're off. The boards are now so well balanced, that you do not need catlike balance and the sails are lightweight with sizes for small kids to grown ups

Windsurfing in Thailand can be inexpensive and the equipment lasts for many years. You do not need gas or oil, no costly extras and the wind is free. You can learn windsurfing within the first session. Kids love it and with our sails and boards they will windsurf within the first hour.

Windsurfing is unique in that it provides no more than that which you need. Teaching the rider to fully understand and cooperate with the situation at hand.

The Sail only produces just enough power to move the rider, only through skill and patience can the full power be brought fourth and used. Diligence and calm application are rewarded with blistering yet controlled speed.

Amara Water Sports, is based at Blue Lagoon Pattaya Water Sports Centre on Soi 14 Naa Jomtien, just south of the City of Pattaya in the Gulf of Thailand.

Former World Windsurfing Freestyle Champion, SEA Games Windsurf Racing gold medalist and Olympic Athlete, Amara Wichithong competed for Thailand in Windsurfing for 25 years. She is a serious competitor in Sailing, and was also a stunt water skier.
