November 12th 2011 - The Essilor Bangkok Eco Challenge 2011 Adventure Race
Essilor, The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, The Tourism Authority of Thailand, PCC and Active Management Asia are proud to announce the 6th edition of the popular Essilor Bangkok Eco Challenge. This is an epic 3-8 hour race which takes teams through a 50km+ course of trekking, mountain biking, swimming and paddling as well as some mystery tests. The race is to be held at Nong Chok on Saturday November 12th.

Thai Wake Park to Host First Leg of Asian Wake Park Tour - 23rd - 24th April 2011 Thai Wake Park, the leading wake park in Thailand is set to host the first leg of the 2011 Asian Wake Park Tour in Bangkok. The competition marks the first stop on the tour and is sanctioned by the Asian Wakeboard Association. This summer, the tour travels to the best cable parks in Asia including Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines in the search of the best riders in Asia! Pro riders will gather at Thai Wake Park on the 23rd and 24th April to fight for US$3,000 in cash prizes plus earn tour points which will decide who the overall tour champ is later in the year. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Emporium and Punky Runners Charity Run for Japan - Sunday 27th March 2011 Total Body Training are organized a charity run to raise funds for the Tsunami relief efforts in Japan on Sunday 27th March 2011. The run is open for people of all abilities, whether a serious runner or casual runner please come and join to help raise funds. If interested registration takes place at Emporium shopping complex from the 21st - 27th March between 11am and 8pm or on Sunday between 5pm - 5.45pm The distance is 9km starting at 6am to avoid the heat of midday. A shorter 3km run is also available. The entry is 350THB for both distances. T-shirts will be given to all whom register and all runners who complete the run will receive a medal. There are water stations every 2km and snacks are provided at the finish line. This event consists of a 18km, 9km and 4km fun run / walk suitable for all. The Columbia Trail Masters Championship 2011 offers exciting running routes, which take in some great scenery and exciting trails that explore mountains, farms and the jungles of Thailand. There are several categories for men, women and children and are designed to involve local communities to promote sports amongst children.
